$ 100 PC from Chennai.....!!!

A company based at KK nagar is arousing interest
of IT personalities like bill gates, nicholas negroponte
Oracles CEO Larry elison and magazines such as Newsweek
are trying hard to do a cover story about its product.

Novatium solutions systems Ltd [NSSL] will be launching
soon a home computer on a large scale from chennai in a
month. but the product is making global headlines for
introducing a fully functional PC for just Rs.4500 that is
about $ 100.

The technology was developed in cooperation with IIT
chennai . Mr. Alok singh is the MD and CEO of the company.

The PC works in a new way . A consumer buys a package called
Novatium NetPC that consists of a colour monitor,keyboard and
a small computing box, which is a link to the hardware or CPU
which is based in the server farm of the company connected by
copper wire , fibre optic cable or telephone line or even by phone
connection.

Once connected , users can work on the pc in the usual fashion and
save all thier work on the dedicated space on the server. Customers
can also use any software like windows or linux.

The pc can also work as an IPTV which will stream all TV prog. tht are
available on the cable.

NSSL is a brain child of Rajesh jain , a technocrat of the silicon valley
which was given wings by the team of Ashok jhunjhunwala, a professor
in the IIT chennai. The professor is the director of NSSL which will soon
launch the NetPC on commercial basis from chennai.
In a few months the company is planning to launch the $100 PC nation wide.

So everybody get ready for the $100 PC revolution....!!!!
